The special edition is limited to 125 units per key region globally. Registrations open on October 16, 2026, at 2 PM IST and will remain open until the sale day on October 28, 2026. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift: Price and Availability

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition costs ₹4.26 lakh, ex-showroom. Its exclusive finish and limited production make it a more distinctive offering than the standard Classic 650.

The motorcycle celebrates Royal Enfield's history while retaining the familiar design and mechanical package of the Classic 650. Interested buyers can register their interest through the company's official registration channel during the announced registration window.

Special Hypershift Paint Scheme

The biggest highlight of the anniversary edition is its unique Hypershift paint scheme. The finish changes its appearance between red, green and gold depending on the lighting conditions and viewing angle, giving the motorcycle a distinctive look.

The motorcycle features a brass base finish, which references the materials and styling associated with Royal Enfield's early motorcycles. Additional design highlights include a gold-finished 125th anniversary crest, special side-panel badging and hand-painted pinstripes.

The overall design continues to reflect the Classic family's traditional styling, including its teardrop-shaped fuel tank, nacelle-mounted headlamp and twin exhausts. Rather than introducing a completely new motorcycle, Royal Enfield has focused on exclusive cosmetic details to distinguish this commemorative edition.

Engine and Performance

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift continues to use the company's 648cc parallel-twin engine. The air/oil-cooled unit produces 46.39 bhp at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm of peak torque at 5,650 rpm.

The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and is designed to deliver smooth performance for relaxed city rides and highway cruising. No separate engine-performance upgrade has been announced for the anniversary edition.

Chassis, Suspension and Hardware

The special edition retains the Classic 650's established chassis and hardware package. It uses a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel, along with telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers.

Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, supported by dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle also retains the Classic 650's characteristic twin peashooter exhausts and wire-spoke wheels, which complement its traditional styling.

With a kerb weight of approximately 243 kg, the Classic 650 is positioned as a substantial retro-styled roadster rather than a lightweight commuter motorcycle.

How Is It Different from the Standard Classic 650?

The anniversary edition primarily focuses on exclusivity and visual appeal. The standard Classic 650 is available in regular colour options, while the Hypershift edition receives a colour-shifting finish and commemorative details marking Royal Enfield's 125th anniversary.

The underlying engine, transmission and overall mechanical package remain based on the regular Classic 650. Buyers are therefore paying a premium for the special finish, limited availability and collectible appeal rather than a major increase in performance.

Conclusion

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift 125th Anniversary Edition adds a distinctive new option to the brand's 650cc motorcycle range. Its colour-changing paint, gold anniversary detailing and limited production give it a stronger collector-focused identity while retaining the familiar parallel-twin engine and classic design.

With a price of ₹4.26 lakh (ex-showroom), the motorcycle is aimed at enthusiasts who value Royal Enfield's heritage and want a more exclusive version of the Classic 650. Deliveries are expected to begin in November 2026, subject to the company's announced schedule
