The Indian passenger vehicle market is set for another busy month as several new cars are expected to arrive in September 2026. The upcoming launches cover multiple segments, from premium SUVs and mass-market hatchbacks to luxury sedans and electric performance SUVs.

The Sorento is also expected to feature a premium cabin with connected digital displays, ADAS, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control and an electrically operated tailgate.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is also expected to receive a facelift in September. The updated hatchback could get changes to its front-end styling, including a revised grille and bumper, while new alloy-wheel designs are also expected.
The cabin is likely to receive updated equipment and upholstery, while the existing 1.2-litre petrol and CNG powertrain options are expected to continue. The petrol version is expected to remain available with manual and AMT transmissions, while the CNG version could continue with a manual gearbox.
The updated Baleno will continue to compete with cars such as the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and Toyota Glanza.

BMW is preparing to bring the facelifted 7 Series to India in September. The flagship luxury sedan is expected to receive styling revisions along with upgrades to its technology and interior experience.
International versions of the updated 7 Series continue with six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines supported by 48V mild-hybrid technology. The Indian-market specifications and variant lineup are expected to be confirmed closer to launch.
The updated model will continue its competition with premium luxury sedans such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Alongside the updated 7 Series, BMW is expected to introduce the facelifted i7 electric sedan in India.

BMW is expected to continue offering the i7 as a premium electric alternative to conventional luxury sedans.

Porsche is also preparing to showcase the all-electric Cayenne in India towards the end of September. Unlike a conventional launch, this event is expected to serve as the physical India showcase of Porsche's new electric SUV.
The Cayenne Electric is available internationally with a large battery pack and dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration. The performance-focused Turbo Electric version produces more than 1,100 hp under specific launch-control conditions and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in around 2.5 seconds.
The India-spec pricing has already been announced, with the standard Cayenne Electric positioned at around ₹1.77 crore and the Turbo Electric at approximately ₹2.27 crore, ex-showroom.
